A Bit About Me
I’ve been working professionally as an artist since 1998. Starting my career journey as a photo restorationist. Back then, it was all done by hand. It was for a small image production studio that primarily created image props for television and movies. You know, when you see a happy couple posing for their wedding or a picture of their younger self. The studio soon became computerized. We got our first 486 Windows machine with a beastly 12″ monitor. Installed was ImagePro which had to be updated to Photoshop 1.0. My life would never be the same.
From that moment, I was hooked. Photoshop became a part of me. I kept editing images for a year or so before moving on to my first design position for Event411.com. From there, I moved on to other positions with ease during the dot-com boom.
I’ve been very fortunate to work with some truly amazing people and design firms, alongside people who cultivated creativity and experience. This even extends to clients I’ve been very honoured to work with. Firms such as Zugara and Designory will always hold a place in my heart. There, they cultivated creativity and teamwork. I made some life-long friendships and learned valuable skills.
Here I will showcase some of my work throughout the years. Unfortunately, I cannot show ALL of my work. Some have been lost forever due to the ever-changing internet.
Music & Sound Design
I’ve always been fascinated with synthesizers. The first synth I purchased was a Moog Rouge, followed by a Roland JX-3P and Roland TR-727, as seen in the 1995 image below. In 1991, I got my first computer: an Atari 1040 STe, along with a Kawai Spectra keyboard, Korg S3 Drum machine, Korg M3r, Alesis MMT-8, Yamaha TG-33, and Cubase as my music production software.
After a while, I started to realize that hardware not only was getting too costly, but was also taking up a lot of space. Sometime in early 2020, I sold my hardware and became a software user. Same great sounds, a lot less space and money. I also switched from using Cakewalk DAW on a Windows machine to Logic Pro on a Mac.
Some notable clients I had the privilege to work with have been Namco, SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment America) Reebok, and RedBull.
