Gouache, Ink and Color Pencil on Paper
Personal Artwork
While eating lunch at The Hatchery in Ludlow, Vermont I took a picture of the door. I later thought it would be nice to recreate it on paper. Working off a photograph is very easy for me. Much better than working from real life. I think because as a youngster, I drew things I often saw in science magazines and graphic novels. Mostly from OMNI Magazine. Anyone remember that magazine? I used to love it!
I wasn’t sure I liked this enough to even keep it, but I learned a valuable lesson. Never throw any work away. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself to keep everything I drew. Only one drawing survived from my high school days. I think I’ll post that too. It’s not an amazing piece of work, but I drew it in the eleventh grade.
